Moka City and its surroundings offer multiple locations where visitors can enjoy different cherry blossom festivals, each with its own unique atmosphere and events.

Moka’s 10,000 Cherry Blossom Festival | Tochigi Prefecture

Each spring, Moka City in Tochigi Prefecture transforms into a pink wonderland with its annual cherry blossom festival, featuring approximately 10,000 cherry trees in full bloom. One of the most picturesque spots is the Sakura & Nanohana Road along the JR Moka Railway’s North Moka Station. This one-kilometer stretch is lined with cherry blossoms and bright yellow rapeseed flowers, creating a spectacular tunnel of color. Adding to the unique scenery, a steam locomotive (SL) runs through the blossoms, puffing white smoke as it moves along the tracks—an unforgettable sight worth capturing in photos!
